Frank Castle burst onto the scene in Marvel’s Daredevil Season 2 and audiences savored every second of his screen time. Even though they wanted to see him wear his iconic emblem, fans were kept satisfied with Jon Bernthal’s haunting portrayal as the Punisher.
The mantra of “good things come to those who wait” couldn’t have been more true with this character. In the final episode of Daredevil Season 2, Castle completed his outfit by spray painting the iconic skull emblem onto his bulletproof vest—symbolizing the completion of his character arc. As Castle destroyed the home he had shared with his loving family, the resulting flames illuminated the logo on his chest.

Actor Jason R. Moore, who will be playing Curtis Hoyle in the upcoming Marvel’s The Punisher, recently shared an exclusive first look at the show’s official teaser poster. The logo is the same style as the one Castle created, along with the various creases and seams from his bulletproof vest.
The bottom of the poster is emblazoned with “2017,” confirming to us that one of Marvel’s greatest antiheroes will be unleashed this year.
