Her Cape Comic Review: Harley Quinn #21
Harley Quinn #21 is the continuation of the “Blast From The Future” story arc. See what happens when Harley tries to fling her problems away.
While Harley deals with crazy future bat chick, Mason Macabre gives Harley Sinn an earful that forces her to think about the difference between what she thinks and what is actually happening. And a surprise revelation leads to answers about one of Harley’s closest companions and his mysterious past. All of that, and Harley’s parents come to visit. Harley Quinn #21 is as frenetic as Harley’s life. Every panel is filled with action from start to finish and that’s what makes it so much fun.
Harley Sinn has been working under the impression that Harley is responsible for her trip to Arkham, which is why she accepted the job of killing Mason Macabre and his mother. However, Mason points out that none of what has happened sounds like Harley’s usual MO, which suggests that someone else, perhaps, is behind it all. He makes a good argument, and Harley Sinn is forced to rethink her revenge plans.
Meanwhile, Harley Quinn thinks she has scatapulted her crazy bat chick problem out of her life, only to find her back. When they’re both captured, the crazy bat chick turns out to be Devani Cage, who is from the future. However, the disembodied voice in the room tells Devani that she’d be murdering an innocent person if she kills Harley Quinn, because the future is wrong. Harley didn’t kill Batman.
Harley is returned to her house while Devani Cage is taken to a hideout by Red Tool, who explains how it is that he knows where Devani comes from, and it turns out that they have a lot more in common.

Harley Quinn #21 gives us some very valuable insight into Harley Sinn and Red Tool, and that’s bound to have lasting implications for Harley, who doesn’t have time to stop and think about anything because her parents are on her doorstep.

In Part 5, Joker has been asking a lot of Harley lately, and he needs her to stay patient with him as he gets the gang into a more proper hideout. Oh — and he also needs her to run some errands.
