Unexpected guests arrive in Suicide Squad #19 and the Squad faces their biggest challenge yet, with lasting implications for the team.

Suicide Squad #19 starts out with Harley Quinn battling Kryptonian monsters while Rick Flag lies motionless on the ground after being attacked. Harley is giving the battle her best shot, and as she fights she contemplates the idea of madness. Are mad people ever truly alone? While everyone else is alone in the universe, insanity becomes a form of company. And in her case, as soon as she opens herself up, she appears to lose the man she cares about.

While Harley fights for her life, Amanda Waller and the rest of the Suicide Squad greet their Kryptonian guests: Cyborg Superman and The Eradicator. They’re there for General Zod, and as soon as they arrive Waller realizes her fatal miscalculation — she can’t control this situation and things are going to get a whole lot worse.

General Zod is out for world domination, and he’s not going to let anything stand in his way. There’s an army of Kryptonian criminals waiting for him, and he plans to lead them to the Promise Land. Cyborg Superman and the Eradicator want Zod to help them destroy Superman, but they realize that Zod is not someone they will ever be able to work with. He can’t be controlled, and that makes him an enemy.

Defeating Zod comes at a huge cost as a member of the team is lost, at least, for now. With leadership in jeopardy, the Squad must rally to figure out who is in charge moving forward.
