This exclusive clip of the opening scene of tonight’s all-new episode of Midnight, Texas on NBC will have you on the edge of your seat.

When a town has a reputation like Midnight, it’s no wonder that it draws both curious innocents and cruel hearted scumbags to see if the whispers are true. That’s where the August 28 episode of Midnight, Texas begins.

Here’s an exclusive first look at the opening scene from “Blinded by the Light”:

In the clip, a group of rowdy teens come to Midnight and start causing trouble from the first moment. The three young men break things in Fiji’s yard, which brings her to the door to frighten them away with a burst of wind. They leave, but not before hurling painful insults at her. Their next target is the cemetery, where they spray paint tombstones of dearly departed pets. The lone girl in the group doesn’t want any part of it, and when she moves the walk away she steps on a dead oppossum. That’s when she hears growling from a nearby basement door.

The boys tell her that the town has parties where they drink each other’s blood, and Lem shows up and tells them that sounds like a good time. The teens run for their car, but they leave the girl behind. As she walks down the deserted road, she realizes she isn’t alone.
