3. They know they must adapt

On that Wonder Woman note, the DCEU finally got a hit critically and financially, they are clearing modifying their strategy based on what went right which they should do. Adapting to the situation is always a good thing. They’ve made plenty of mistakes in the past and they want to do better. You can tell how much passion is in these movies, they just haven’t been utilized in the right ways yet.

Suicide Squad made a lot of money (and won an Oscar), what’s good is they know the problems that exist in that movie and they have a chance to improve in the sequel. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Compared to Marvel, they have success after success that they aren’t taking as many risks and can’t afford to at this point, they’ve gotten too big. DCEU is still in a place where they can change direction and make their films better, that starts with Suicide Squad.
