The Punisher trailer is finally here for Marvel-Netflix show

Netflix released the official trailer for Marvel’s upcoming show The Punisher.

The Punisher isn’t a secret, but it’s felt like one since The Defenders came out in August. No trailer and no release date were the two things everyone looked for from this upcoming Marvel show on Netflix, but with nothing to show for.

Well, that changed on Wednesday morning.

Marvel and Netflix released the first full trailer for The Punisher. It’s full of scenes from the show, including an image of Frank Castle with the famous Punisher logo on his clothing. As expected, it looks full of violence, too.

As seen at the end of the video, there’s still no release date. Getting this footage from the show should mean we’re approaching the official announcement, though. Look for that at the New York Comic-Con, which will have a panel for The Punisher.

The Punisher is a spinoff from the 2015-present show Daredevil, one of five shows Marvel released on Netflix. This stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, better known as The Punisher.

Fans received their first glimpse at Castle in the second season of Daredevil when he interacted with Matt Murdock and wreaked havoc throughout New York City. A look into Frank’s past was given, with his family tragic murder that will be highlighted in the upcoming show, based on the trailer’s footage.

The Punisher looks to be the most violent of the shows Marvel and Netflix put out. It’s Castle with lethal weapons, compared to the superhero powers that Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist posses. This will be different from the norm, as Bernthal said in an interview.

Look out for this show on an unspecified date. The wait, which could be longer, should be worth it for this latest program that Marvel and Netflix release.
