Gotham will return for its fourth season on Thursday night. A look at how to watch the premiere episode online.

The fall TV season is just about here. Shows on a variety of networks will air their season or series debuts for multiple programs. This goes for the superhero shows that are on the airwaves, too, including on The CW and Fox. For the latter, it will premiere the first episode of the fourth season for Gotham. It returns after the events of the season 3 finale.

This program is based on multiple DC Comics characters. It follows James Gordon, a young detective in Gotham City. Also featured is the rise of Bruce Wayne as Batman, along with villains that try to attack the city.

Season 4 of Gotham will feature the tagline, Dark Knight. For those unfamiliar with this, it’s the nickname for Batman. This was used for The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), two Batman movies that were directed by Christoper Nolan.

For the first episode, it will have this tagline: “Detective Gordon suspects that Jonathan Crane has resurfaced; Penguin hosts the grand opening of his new Iceberg Lounge; Bruce begins his vigilante watch.” This will set up plenty for Thursday night when Gotham starts the season of superhero TV shows.
