Final Thoughts

All in all, I loved Kingsman: The Golden Circle. I thought it was funnier than the original, there was more action than the original since we already knew the principal players and it was even wackier than the original.

That said, it wasn’t quite as good as the original. There are a bunch of “ex machinas” in The Golden Circle, characters make crucial errors that I don’t think they realistically would and the lead henchman isn’t as good as in the original.

I’d say the original is probably like an A- so like a 9.1/10.

This felt more like a B+ so 8.7/10. Yeah, that makes sense. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, it was an insanely fun ride and I’d be in for a third.

My two biggest takeaways are; one, that Taron Egerton needs to be in more stuff, the dude is crazy likable, charming, handsome and funny, and Matthew Vaughn needs to direct a stand-alone Star Wars film. I’d love to see a movie like the Kingsman films set in the Star Wars universe. Unfortunately, with how risk-averse they’ve become, it’s likely that will never happen.
