Happy Harley Quinn Day!

The big day is finally here: September 23 is Batman Day Harley Quinn Day and fans can join in all of the fun as she takes over the festivities.

The clown princess of crime herself turns 25 this month and she’s taking over Batman’s day as her very own. That’s right: On Saturday, September 23 the jubilant and mischievous Harley Quinn will celebrate Harley Quinn Day.

From her debut in 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series to her thrilling live action premiere in 2016’s Suicide Squad, and to her longstanding solo comic book series that consistently flies off shelves, Harley Quinn is proof that reinvention is the spice of life. You can’t pencil her into a corner because she’ll just write herself out, and that’s why she has become one of the most beloved and endearing, if not occasionally exasperating and morally ambiguous, characters in DC Comics’ illustrious history.

Now that the big day has arrived, fans who join in the fun at their local comic shops on Saturday, September 23, can enjoy free comics created especially for Harley Quinn’s 25th anniversary, including a very special edition of the first issue of the Batman Rebirth “I Am Bane” storyline featuring exclusive Harley Quinn content. The exclusive content is tied into some of the fun giveaways – namely Harley Quinn and Batman masks – that are available for fans.

DC Comics was nice enough to send Her Cape an advance preview of the Harley Quinn Day comic books and I can tell you that even if you already own these particular issues, you’ll want the special Harley Quinn Day reprint versions for your collection.

In addition to the giveaways, there are several collectibles that are available for purchase from DC Collectibles.
