The drama is about to take a serious turn in this week’s American Horror Story Cult 706, “Mid-Western Assassin.” Here’s what you need to know.

There has been a lot of talk about the October 10 episode of American Horror Story Cult ahead of news that Ryan Murphy cut several scenes from the episode in deference to the victims of the tragic shooting in Las Vegas. In a tragic case of life imitating art, though the show filmed months ago it looks like the scenes of a mass shooting are arriving at the wrong time. Murphy will air two versions of the show; the edited version will air on television while the original version will air on demand.

Here’s a look at American Horror Story Cult episode 705:

Ally is unraveling fast and she thinks she’s the only sane person in a world that has been turned upside down. She can’t trust anyone after Meadow’s warning to her, but what she doesn’t realize is that Ivy and Dr. Vincent are involved. And she’s starting to fall into Kai’s world, not as a follower but as one of the scared people willing to vote him into office so he can protect them.

Kai seems to think that his plan is working well. The “sheep,” as he says in the preview, are scared. This could apply to both his followers and the people he’s trying to scare in the community. Either way, he’s scaring people. However, someone is about to stand up to him.
