10 DC heroes ready to join the live-action Justice League movie
By Jason Hall
5. Star-Girl
One of the biggest reasons that I am including this character in the list is because she was created by Geoff Johns, the current head of DC Entertainment. Star-Girl is based on Johns’ sister who died in a tragic airplane accident. You might say he has some pull these days. I mean one of the primary reasons that the character of Cyborg joined the Justice League in the comics and is now set to join them on the big screen is because Johns loves that character and really pushed for him to have a bigger profile. Johns had a large role to play in DC‘s latest success with Wonder Woman and he is one of the reasons that Aquaman became cool again a few years ago when Johns was writing the book.
Basically, Geoff Johns is shaping a lot of what DC is doing these days and I could see one day his creations making their way into the Warner Bros. version of the league. Star-Girl, in her own right, would make an intriguing addition to the team. She started her super-heroing at a very young age and stole some equipment that augmented her strength and agility. Before she earned her medal among other older heroes and was bestowed the cosmic staff of Starman which granted her the ability to fly and fire energy bolts. She also maintains a very positive outlook on the world. I could see her being brought on to add a more innocent or naive face to the group. Not everyone can bring the doom and gloom of Batman and Star-Girl could bring some light to the league.
