Star Wars: The Last Jedi has a brand new movie poster.
Last Monday, millions of viewers that were watching Monday Night Football got a special treat at halftime. It was a brand new full trailer for the highly anticipated blockbuster Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
After the trailer aired on television, it immediately dropped on YouTube and currently has over 14 million views (who knows how many more by the end of the day). the official movie poster for the new film was released on the official Star Wars Twitter account. You can check out this magnificent work of art below.
This poster looks absolutely incredible and unique from all the other traditional Star Wars posters we’ve seen. The use of dark red and bright white makes for a powerful composition, simple yet effective. It’s great to see Carrie Fisher’s character Princess Leia front and center in this poster, the actress passed away last December. The poster features new character favorites such as Rey, Finn, Poe, and Kylo Ren, who made their appearance in Star Wars The Force Awakens. This movie will a include the return of Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker, who hopefully will have some dialogue in this movie.
Many die-hard fans predict this film to have the same tone as Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, we think this potentially means bad news for Rey.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, also known as “Episode Eight,” is directed by Rian Johnson, and stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Issac, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and much more. The movie opens Dec. 15, but you can purchase your tickets online now! Fandango offers a free movie poster, if you use them to buy your ticket.
