On Thursday night, Arrow returns for its season 6 premiere. It will follow up on the season 5 finale’s cliffhanger, which brought plenty of speculation on the future of the show and most of the main characters. What will happen to them in the first episode?

The season 5 finale saw Adrian Chase set off explosives on Lian Yu, seconds after he killed himself in front of Oliver Queen and his son, William. Every member of Team Arrow, along with a handful of villains, remained on Lian Yu. Their fates weren’t disclosed, as the season ended on a cliffhanger that left everyone in question.

The season 6 premiere is titled “Fallout.” That easily implies the aftermath from the season 5 finale. Which character(s) will perish, though? Felicity Smoak, Thea Queen, Curts Holt, Quentin Lance, Dinah Drake, Rene Ramirez, John Diggle, Black Siren, Deathstroke, the al Ghul sisters and others were left on the island. The remaining characters should be a subject of fallout, especially if this episode is six months after the events of the season 5 finale. Will Oliver be shaken up from what happened?

There’s the potential of a new big bad, too. With Malcolm Merlyn and Adrian Chase (presumed) dead, will someone new rise? The summer between season 5 and 6 has been quiet, in terms of whoever the villain (or villains) Team Arrow has to face in Star City.
