Watch The Gifted episode 3 trailer before it airs on Fox

The Gifted will return for its third episode of Monday, Oct. 16. Let’s look at the trailers and see what’s in store.

The Gifted further opens the X-Men universe on Fox. Produced by 20th Century Fox, who handled all of the X-Men films, it follows the Strucker family. The parents discover their kids have mutant abilities and are forced to run away from the authorities, along with encountering other mutants.

The last we saw the Strucker family, Reed was offered a deal by Jace Turner, the Sentinal Services agent. He and his family receive freedom, but only for the exposure of the mutant underground. Reed accepted, which closed the episode. That meant Marcos, Clarice, John and the other mutants in the underground were in danger, with their fates yet to be determined.

Episode 3, titled “eXodus” should provide clarity on the cliffhangers of episode 2. The Gifted YouTube account released multiple promos that tease what may happen in “eXodus,” so let’s check them out.

The clip below has Caitlin, Lauren and Andy on the run, trying to find their uncle. Andy wants to rob a bank since their accounts are frozen, but after Lauren and Caitlin disagree with the decision, he destroys multiple parking meters that disperses change everywhere.

The second clip has Clarice struggling to use her powers. John tells her to try to tap into them.

Reed, potentially after he gives up the mutant underground, meets a mutant. He tries looking for Marcos, while the Sentinal Services listen in. So, it looks like he did indeed agree to the agent’s deal.

Given these trailers, it looks like the Strucker’s are on the run, while Reed doesn’t know but is trying to provide his family freedom. He’s taking a risk, however, which could prove costly.
