Avengers 4 will feature Ty Simpkins as Harley Keener

Avengers 4 will bring back an old Iron Man character in the 2019 film.

Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Infinity War is shaping up to be one of the biggest superhero movies of all time. So far, the film is boasting a giant cast, spanning multiple characters throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But bigger than that will be Avengers 4, which at this time is currently untitled, but will most likely continue the story of the wrath of Thanos unleashing his power upon our heroes.

Of all the costumed people who will appear in these movies, another interesting character has been announced. According to the website IMDB, Harley Keener, portrayed by young actor Ty Simpkins, will be returning to Marvel in the Avengers 4 movie. This exciting piece of news was announced on the website’s official Twitter account.

If you don’t remember this character, he was the young kid genius who assisted Tony Stark during Iron Man 3. He referred to Tony as “The Mechanic,” and was able to help Tony get over his panic attacks from his post-traumatic stress. Not much is known about what role Keener will play in the film, or what exactly the film will be about, but we can predict that he will have some sort of connection to Iron Man during the runtime. It is too early to tell if Simpkins will appear in a cameo or even a supporting role, but let’s hope the character will be redeemed.

For many fans, Iron Man 3 didn’t really work as well as the other Marvel movies did. From The Mandarin twist and Tony blowing up his suits (then rebuilding them), another takeaway was how pointless the Harley Keener character felt in the movie. I’m hoping that this character will play an important contribution to the film instead of something uninteresting to kill the pacing.
Ty Simpkins is a young and talented actor and has appeared in many movies such as Jurassic World, Insidious, and The Nice Guys. The actor is currently 16 years old, which could mean he plays an older Harley Keener, smarter and funnier like Tony Stark.
