On Monday night, The Gifted returns for its latest episode. This is the series that’s an extension of the X-Men movie universe, although you won’t see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine running around the show. Instead, it follows the Strucker family and the mutants of the mutant underground, as they try to flee the Sentinel Services.

In episode 3, Reed Strucker was sent by the Sentinel Services to get information on the mutant underground after he was caught. He did this so his family could be free of charges. However, after feeling sympathetic for a mutant family, Reed abandoned the plan, let the people go and jumped out of the van they were traveling in.

The Sentinel Services were following them, so they pulled over, took Reed in and planned to send him away to another prison. The same went for Polaris, who attempted to use her powers in prison.

Episode 4 is titled “eXit strategy,” so you can imagine the plan will be to get Reed and Polaris off the bus that’s trying to take them to the military airport. Everything the show teased for the previous episode didn’t go as advertised, so any attempt to get Reed and Polaris out might not go smoothly. Will they fail to save them? What else will arise?
