Supernatural “Patience” introduces new Wayward Sisters character

Supernatural’s third episode of season 13 introduces Patience Turner, one of the new characters that will be part of the spinoff Wayward Sisters.
Supernatural fans will get their first look at one of the new Wayward Sisters characters in the third episode of season 13 “Patience”. Presumably the title refers to the character, Patience Turner, who will be introduced in the episode.
Sam and Dean reunite with psychic Missouri Mosley, who devoted fans may remember from season 1. She was the psychic in their hometown who met John Winchester after Mary’s death. She is mentioned in John’s journal.
Missouri Mosley calls in the boys after a wraith kills one of her friends. She’s worried that the wraith is targeting people close to her and may go after her granddaughter next. Her granddaughter is Patience Turner.
Patience has some very strong psychic abilities similar to her grandmother, but until this point she hasn’t ever really used them or developed them. Presumably it’s the upcoming encounter with a wraith and with the Winchesters that sets Patience on a journey to understand and harness her abilities. And that will eventually lead her to Jody’s home for wayward girls and Wayward Sisters.

Even though the episode of Supernatural that will fully introduce the series won’t air until 2018 there will be several episodes like “Patience” coming up that will lay the groundwork for the new series. Sheriff Jody Mills is also in the upcoming episode so that will introduce her to Patience as well.

Patience is one of two new characters that are going to join the already familiar characters on Wayward Sisters. The other is Kaia, who has the ability to walk between worlds in her sleep. According to reports Kaia will be similar to Claire in that she will be hesitant to join the group but will also crave the support and connection with the other girls who understand the unique challenges she’s facing.
It’s exciting to see Wayward Sisters start to take shape. Fans have been asking for a spinoff focused on the strong women of the Supernatural universe for a long time and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the show. “Patience” will be the first step in seeing the spinoff become a reality.
