The Flash: 21 speedy Twitter reactions to this week’s episode

The latest episode of The Flash obviously tried to get back in the fun swing of things.

Luck be a Lady was the first episode of the fourth season of The Flash that feels like they might be back in the swing of things. This episode might not have been perfect, but it was a fun and somewhat formulaic return to the standard weekly episode of the Flash.

We got to see the over-arcing villain planning his ultimate plan and we got a new villain of the week. Becky, or Hazard, was a nice mix-up of the usual villains. For some reason the majority of people that become metas just automatically become maniacally evil villains. Hazard at least seemed like a somewhat normal person. I mean if any of us got luck powers like this, how could we avoid cashing it in?

Not every comedic beat landed last night, but overall the episode was a lot of fun. Also, it is nice that the writers acknowledged the thing we’ve all noticed as Wally got nothing to do for another episode. It’s possible that they realized they had too many metas on team Flash and are working their way back out of it. I mean Cisco never vibes, Caitlin is “cured” and now Wally is heartbroken and leaving town. It looks like they are doing their best to return to the season one status quo.
