On Tuesday night, The Flash returns for its fourth episode of season 4. It will follow last week’s events, which saw Team Flash go after Hazard, the latest villain of the week. She was being watched by the Thinker, who had eyes on every metahuman impacted by Barry Allen’s return from the Speed Force.

For episode 4, it’s unknown which villain will debut or reappear from the comics. However, a new character will arrive and meet Team Flash: Ralph “Elongated Man” Dinby.

Elongated Man is a DC Comics superhero, as well as a member of the Justice League. That group won’t appear on The Flash, but his roots go back to them and the 1960’s.

As you can guess, Elongated Man has the ability to stretch his arms to absurd lengths. He’s also a detective, and likely will interact with Barry and Joe West at the Central City Police Department. Will he rub them the wrong way in “Elongated Journey Into Night?”

What will the Thinker do next? After sending three villains after Barry, it’s likely he has a fourth one lined up.

It’s still early in season 4, so his first interaction with Barry might not happen yet. Harry Wells alluded to there being a tie between the first villains of the season, however in episode 3. So, Team Flash is one step closer to figuring out who they’re dealing with. Will they find out in “Elongated Journey Into Night?”
