6. Young Magneto

This one seems like a bit of an easy target, but still a very under-utilized area of the X-Men’s past. In X-Men: First Class, we see one real scene of Magneto hunting some of the men that participated in the concentration camps where he lost his family. In one of the best scenes of the film, he takes revenge on these men and then leaves to continue on his parade of vengeance and violence. Who wouldn’t watch a series about a young Magneto on his own and exploring the world.

I believe there were once plans for a solo movie about his early life that got shut down after the fall out from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. That might have been a good choice given what Wolverine’s origin story turned out to be, but maybe Magneto’s story would be better told on television. Magneto is an interesting character because he is a violent man with understandable motivations. We want him to succeed. The powers of Magneto would be pretty easily achieved on the small screen as well.
