Gal Gadot hints that Wonder Woman was around all along
During the press tour for Justice League, Gal Gadot talks about where Wonder Woman has been between Wonder Woman and Batman v Superman.
According to Gal Gadot, Diana Prince has been around all along. During her appearance in London, Gadot gave us a small taste, an amuse bouche, of what Wonder Woman was doing in between film timelines.
Den of Geek reports that Gadot addressed the issue of where Wonder Woman was between Wonder Woman’s World War I timeline and the present day Batman v Superman timeline. Based on her conversation with Bruce Wayne about walking away from the affairs of mankind, it seemed like Diana wasn’t around much, but it looks like that line of thinking might be changing. Here’s what Gadot had to say in London:
"“Well unfortunately there’s not much we can share with you about Wonder Woman 2. But what is clear is that whether or not Wonder Woman was out there or incognito, she was always involved and she was always very active in Man’s World, and she was always acting to save and to help, and to better the world.”"
One of the classic science fiction moral dilemmas is the “Let’s kill Hitler” issue. Countless pop culture properties have dealt with this issue including Doctor Who and, recently, Harley Quinn during an appearance with the Bombshells. The question is simple: If you could go back in time, why wouldn’t you kill Hitler and save the world all of the horrors of World War II?
The idea that Wonder Woman was there all along adds to the dilemma. If Diana Prince was so involved in World War I, why wouldn’t she have fought in World War II? If she’s helping to make the world a better place, where has she been?

Surely there’s a reason that explains this gaping plot hole…or perhaps Warner Bros is working to come up with a reason now that Wonder Woman has surged in popularity and now the studio finds itself backtracking Diana Prince’s remarks from Batman v Superman.
Justice League opens November 17, 2018.
