Riverdale: 21 Twitter reactions to this week’s episode

Riverdale is back and this time it’s personal. This week the Black Hood tightens his grip on Betty Cooper and causes trouble for everyone else.

Last week’s Riverdale ended with Betty getting a phone call from the man that calls himself the Black Hood. He has centered his crusade around her and credits her for inspiring his crime spree. In addition to that, an old flame of Veronica is in town and Archie is not happy about it.

The Black Hood forces Betty to distance herself from her friends and family. He gives her no choice but to choose away the ones she loves and Bughead fans are not happy. Anyone who looked into the season previews knew that Toni Topaz would cause some tension between Jughead and Betty, but I bet no one would have guessed quite how this would have gone down.

The Black Hood has moved on random shootings into full-on psychological torture. A new villain also reared his head last night in the form of Veronica’s ex, Nick St. Clair. He cemented his villain status when he tried to sexually assault Cheryl while she was drugged. Suffice to say that a lot happened this week.
