Arrow, Flash producer Andrew Kreisberg suspended on sexual harassment allegations

Amidst sexual harassment allegations, Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl producer Andrew Kreisberg has been suspended by Warner Bros.

On Friday night, Variety reported that Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl producer Andrew Kreisberg has been suspended by Warner Bros. The company launched an investigation into “sexual harassment” and “inappropriate physical contact” allegations, which connect to 19 people (15 women and four men). None of the accusers made their name public.

The allegations surround Kreisberg inappropriately touching people without their permission, as well as requesting massages from “uncomfortable” female staffers, and kissing women without permission. He also made sexual comments toward women, which weren’t disclosed in the report.

One woman told Variety the workplace felt “unsafe,” with another that said he “scares people.” To top it off, the allegations were presented to an executive at Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions, with, allegedly, no action being taken.

Warner Bros. released a statement, acknowledging the allegations against Kreisberg and his suspension. It iterated a commitment to a safe working environment and taking the allegations seriously.

"“We have recently been made aware of allegations of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg,” said Warner Bros. TV Group in a statement to Variety. “We have suspended Mr. Kreisberg and are conducting an internal investigation. We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”"

Kreisberg released a statement to Variety, as well. He admitted to comments but denied they were sexually-related, along with the inappropriate touching and massages.

"“I have made comments on women’s appearances and clothes in my capacity as an executive producer, but they were not sexualized. Like many people, I have given someone a non-sexual hug or kiss on the cheek.” He denies that any inappropriate touching or massages occurred."

The allegations are obviously troubling for this Warner Bros. producer, who works on all of the Arrowverse shows. Production will obviously change without him, as the programs continue to film their respective seasons. We’ll see what results of these allegations and the suspension, as Kreisberg’s denial will make the potential fallout of this interesting, despite the alleged accounts.
