Everything you need to know before the Arrowverse crossover starts.

Beginning on Monday, the Arrowverse will begin to air its four-part crossover. It’s an event, titled “Crisis on Earth-X” that brings all the heroes of the Arrowverse together for four shows. These will be some of the year’s most anticipated episodes.

What do you need to know before “Crisis on Earth-X” airs? Let’s go through a brief rundown:

What is Crisis on Earth-X?

Crisis on Earth-X will be a storyline that brings heroes from across the Arrowverse together. They must take down “their most formidable foes yet,” which turns out to be Nazi versions of themselves from Earth-X or their polar opposite identity.

These events take place when everyone comes together for Barry Allen and Iris West’s wedding, which we knew of in season 3 of The Flash. Season 4 has featured planning for this event, although without specifics.

The synopsis also confirms that Citizen Cold and The Ray will be part of the crossover. Citizen is a different incarnation of Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart. The Ray will make his live-action debut. They’ll join a loaded cast that features, well, everyone from Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.

TV info

There will be four episodes across two nights. Here’s the official viewing information:

  • Supergirl – Monday, Nov. 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET on the CW
  • Arrow – Monday, Nov. 27 at 9:00 p.m. ET on the CW
  • The Flash – Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET on the CW
  • Legends of Tomorrow – Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET on the CW

Why is Arrow airing on Monday, not Thursday?

Basically, this condenses the crossover to two nights, instead of four shows across three days. Having one on Monday, two on Tuesday and one on Thursday would be an odd set-up for an event that’s a bigger deal than ever. When Arrow aired on Wednesdays, the crossover aired across three consecutive days.
