6. Minor but fantastic things

There were a handful of things that can be stuffed into one category. They were minor but noticeable in “Crisis on Earth-X.”

For about five seconds, we saw Harrison Wells in the old wheelchair from season 1 of The Flash. This was to fool Barry, Cisco and Caitlin about his “condition” and hide his Reverse-Flash persona. It was a fun piece of nostalgia, which represented some of the Arrowverse’s best days.

Remember when Kara referenced her “cousin?” If you’re new to the comic book world, she meant Superman. Coincidentally, Brandon Routh’s Atom was the next character to appear. He played the Man of Steel in 2006’s Superman Returns. Was this sequence a coincidence, though?

The scene between Sara and Earth-X’s Quentin was fantastic, and highlighted the Lance family’s emotions that played a part in Arrow’s first seasons. They don’t share screen time anymore, so it was nice to see this old connection, even under different circumstances.

There were other tidbits, but these stood out the most in the “minor” factor.

5. The girl who took an interest in Barry and Iris’ wedding

By now, if you watched the first part of “Crisis on Earth-X,” you realized there was a mysterious waitress at Barry and Iris’ wedding. She seemed very happy — maybe too much — to be there, offering Barry a drink and telling him to say “I do.” This woman disappeared and wasn’t seen for the remainder of the crossover.

We took a closer look at who this may have been. Though, if there was any indication, this character meant something and will play an important role in The Flash. Let’s see if we get this reveal before the winter break.
