Crisis on Earth-X: 8 best moments of the Arrowverse crossover
4. Part 4 fight vs. Nazis
We’ll discuss the best fight sequence of “Crisis on Earth-X” soon, but what was seen in Part 4’s closing moments highlighted the special action of the four nights. This saw the final battle between the heroes (all of them, including from Legends of Tomorrow and Nazis), resulting in some dramatic moments and a scene that may have teased a future battle.
Oliver killed his Earth-X counterpart. If this surprised you, look back at his arc over the past five-plus seasons of Arrow. He’s not innocent in the “willingness to kill” department, as seen in “Crisis on Earth-X’s” final moments.
However, Barry can’t do this, much like his arc in three-plus seasons of The Flash. He could have stabbed Eobard Thawne in the heart, instead letting him run away. You know they will fight again, whether or not it’s Tom Cavanagh’s version.
These scenes highlighted a wild final battle. The heroes won and all was well, but not without consequences.
3. Martin Stein dies
The Martin Stein character and Jefferson Jackson were involved in a storyline throughout season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow. They endured an emotional journey of splitting apart, no longer remaining Firestorm.
Before this, Stein and Jax played a significant part in the “Crisis on Earth-X” story. From appearing at the West-Allen wedding to assisting the fight against the Nazis, their arc took center stage for a chunk of the crossover.
However, it resulted in the death of Stein. To return the heroes to Earth-1, they had to open a breach. The professor, who attempted to run through gunfire, opened the breach but was shot in the abdomen.
Inside the Waverider, Stein took a synthesizer that officially split him from Jax, resulting in his perishment. It provided one of the Arrowverse’s most emotional scenes, something that will have fallout in the succeeding episodes of Legends of Tomorrow.
This was difficult to call a “best moment,” but it was the most impactful one of the crossover. It will be impossible to forget this character’s legacy in the Arrowverse.
