HOLLYWOOD, CA – MARCH 19: Actor Colin Donnell arrives at The Paley Center For Media’s 33rd Annual PaleyFest Los Angeles presentation of ‘An Evening with Dick Wolf with the stars of Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, P.D., & Med’ at Dolby Theatre on March 19, 2016 in Hollywood, California. 2. Tommy Merlyn as Prometheus

There was always an idea that a Dark Arrow, Dark Supergirl and Dark Flash would exist in “Crisis on Earth-X.” Eobard Thawne even surprised as being the Dark Flash, since he was killed multiple times. However, this dwarfed the reveal of Tommy Merlyn as Prometheus X. Not only did this unveil a popular fan theory from season 5 of Arrow, but brought Colin Donnell back after four-plus years.

The Merlyn-Oliver Queen scene was emotional, as Arrow’s titular character still felt the burden of Tommy’s death. However, while expressing this, the son of Malcolm Merlyn called him a fool, and took a pill that killed himself. Thus ending Tommy’s brief return to the Arrowverse.

Given Donnell’s role in Chicago Med, it’s impossible to think he’ll return to a full-time role in the Arrowverse, if even making another one-off appearance again. Though, for the two-or-so minutes the Tommy character returned, it was a special moment that satisfied fans.

1. Wedding fight scene in Part 1

Well before “Crisis on Earth-X” culminated in Part 4, Part 1 delivered potentially the best action sequence of the Arrowverse. It didn’t involve every hero, but saw a chaotic and beautifully choreographed fight scene, with the heroes battling the Nazis at Barry and Iris’ wedding. All the different camera cuts and hard-hitting action kept you on the edge of your seat.

This established the Nazis of Earth-X as powerhouses, with Overgirl and the Dark Archer dominating, along with Prometheus’ wild action sequences. It’s a must watch (and rewatch) for those who haven’t viewed Part 1.
