4. Adam Warlock

Another potential key player during the Infinity War event is none other than Adam Warlock.

Created by the forefathers Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character known as ‘Him’ appeared in titles such as Fantastic Four and Thor in the late 60s and was expanded on by Roy Thomas and Jim Starlin.

Warlock is so crucial to the original storyline in the comics during the 90s; he was the rallying point for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to wage a full-on assault on Thanos.

Over time, Warlock’s depiction in the comics evolved from a mere artificial being produced by the insurgent, despot organization of scientists called the Enclave to a messiah-type, who possessed the Soul Gem i.e. (Soul Stone in MCU continuity), in constant battle with leading geneticist and evolved human known as the High Evolutionary.

To my belief, Warlock is likely to be a creation of the Sovereign, who are a highly advanced, genetically-engineered race of aliens in the far reaches of space as seen from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, as they share some similarities to the Enclave and the Universal Church of Truth, which are a religious empire of many alien species across the universe that worship Warlock’s evil counterpart, the Magus.

Whether he will appear during Infinity War the odds are at least 4:1 as either someone from the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy may encounter during the climax of the film or perhaps a post-credits scene.
