The Flash: Twitter reactions to the mid-season finale

The mid-season finale of The Flash basically changed everything and it looks like the season will be very different moving forward.

On the latest episode of the Flash, the latest big villain, Devoe, made his first big move against Barry Allen and he was not messing around. It all starts with Barry and Caitlin being kidnapped on the same night and team Flash pulled in too many directions at once. They had to choose a priority and leave Barry to save himself.

All of this apparently played into Devoe’s plans as he put things into motion and apparently prolonged his own life long enough to complete whatever his master plan is. We got to see the wedded bliss of Iris and Barry for about ten minutes before everything was torn apart.

Barry spent the summer in the Speed Force and it looks like he is spending Christmas in a prison cell. All of this harkens back to a classic Flash story from the comic books and is quite the cliffhanger moving forward. It will be quite the problem for Barry and the team to solve next year and it will be weeks before we find out what happens next.
