If Disney and Fox agree to a deal, which X-Men can be reintroduced?

In case you haven’t heard, the rumored Fox and Disney mega-deal is all but done. That’s right, the deal of the century will give Disney the rights to a number of Fox’s assets including its movie studio which of course includes, the X-Men. For fans who have dreamed of seeing the X-Men and the Avengers on the big screen together may finally get their wish. However, there are a lot of kinks that need to be worked out.  Now that Disney will have control, there are some wrongs the leaders of comic book cinema can correct — some X-Men they can save. Here are 6 X-Men we desperately need Disney to redo.

6. Cyclops

If you only watched the X-Men movies, you would have thought that the face of Professor X’s group was Wolverine. The reason is that some fans may have found Cyclops’ boy scout qualities, boring, but he’s far from that. The leader of the X-Men has come a long way, after initially just coming off as a total tool. Since then, the reemergence of Cyclops has seen a character shift that’s worthy of exploring. James Madsen played Scott Summers in the original trilogy and despite how they wrote him off he did a great job. In fact, I think that he really deserves a shot to reprise the role in a solo movie.

With that said, there’s a depth to Cyclops that Disney can exploit, like his family’s history. Scott has two brothers, Alex aka Havok who we met in First Class, and Vulcan, the leader of the Shi’ar Empire. It remains to be seen if the latter will be featured in the upcoming X-Men movie Dark Phoenix, but if we don’t Disney needs to make it happen. Even Scott’s father, who was thought to be dead became the leader of an intergalactic space patrol, Starjammers. Ty Sheridan currently portrays Cyclops, but even his origin was botched, there needs to be some changes made to the leader of the X-Men and Disney is the perfect place for that to happen.
