2. Storm

Halle Berry and the height of her career back in 2000 and she killed it. There was so much more to Storm than what we saw in the original trilogy. And Fox should have wised up and given Storm a feature film — one that explored her origins. That never happened, and 16 years since Berry’s debut Storm still hasn’t been fully explored.

Now we have Alexandra Shipp who has taken over as Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse. Like Berry before her, Shipp’s portrayal of Storm isn’t the problem it’s just that some really telling parts of her history is missing. Storm, born  Ororo Munroe was the heir to the throne of the oldest royal family on Earth was orphaned and forced to live on the streets. She was taught to steal and survive on the streets of Egypt. When she fled Egypt for Kenya she was almost raped, but killed the man who attempted the disturbing act. Her return to Kenya would be met with open arms as she’s looked at as a goddess. Her powers attract the attention of Professor X who recruits Storm and asks her to help rescue the original X-Men from Krakoa. Storm would also become the leader of the Morlocks, start a relationship with Forge, and even marry Black Panther. C’mon Disney give us Storm the right way.
