5 predictions for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

1. Rey is a Skywalker
Who are Rey’s parents? This is the question every Star Wars fan asked after seeing The Force Awakens. Snoke’s identity is also a priority in the fan vault of ultimate queries, but Rey’s family origins will be all fans will look for in The Last Jedi.
There have been many convincing theories about Rey’s parents. For a while, fans believed that Rey was related to Emperor Palpatine. Then, the “Rey Kenobi” theories started to arise. Soon after, theories started coming out linking Rey to the main characters of EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront II. The possibility of Rey being Han and Leia’s daughter was also thrown into the mix. Now, while all of these theories are stellar, many are missing one important fact pertaining to the main Star Wars films: it’s a Skywalker story.
The original trilogy revolved around Luke Skywalker. The prequel trilogy revolved around his father, Anakin. So if such pattern continues, this modern Star Wars trilogy would make Rey a Skywalker. This would either make her Han and Leia’s daughter, as previously mentioned, or Luke’s own daughter. I think the latter is certain. Not only was such a connection alluded to in The Force Awakens, but it would make the most sense given the patterns that exist between films.
