7 Marvel characters that will rock comics in 2018

2. Miles Morales
Miles has continued to be a popular character and it doesn’t look like 2018 will slow him down. Especially since he has an animated movie coming out in December of 2018. But that’s not why you need to look out for Miles. At the end of Spider-Man 21 Cable had a conversation with Miles’ dad. He told him that the next time he sees his son, to tell him that Cable wants to speak to him. WHOA! The man who knows the future and how all of our current heroes end up wants to talk to Miles. That is a major step in the right direction. Either way, Cable making time to speak to Miles is going to be a big deal. One of the five moments that might shape the Marvel Universe for the future.
1. Iron People
In the past couple of years, we have seen Iron People pop up almost as much as Spider-People. Riri Williams is now Iron Heart, Victor Von Doom is the Infamous Iron Man (best book of 2017), and Frank Castle being was introduced as the new War Machine. All of these things are going to be a big deal once Tony Stark comes back. With Avengers Infinity War coming out, Marvel is going to bring back Tony Stark right around the time the movie premiers. This will keep him in the minds of comic book fans as well as the movie fans. But once Tony Stark comes back, what does that mean for everyone else?
Riri Williams has been establishing herself as a legit hero. Thankfully, she has the blessing of Stark and all of his peers. And even though Doom helped Stark on more than a few occasions, don’t expect Stark to be happy with Doom running around as Iron Man.
Then, there is Frank Castle, who is running around as War Machine. There is definitely will be a confrontation involving Stark about Castle for using Rhodey’s (his deceased best friend) old moniker. This is going to be one heck of a year for anyone wearing Stark-like armor.
While the return of Wolverine shows signs of things going back to normal, Punisher and Loki both gained new titles and names. And these are just some of the things that have been foreshadowed in comics. Who knows what else Marvel has in store for us 2018?
