Is Darth Vader in Star Wars: The Last Jedi?
Did Darth Vader appear in Star Wars: The Last Jedi?
With Star Wars: The Last Jedi hitting theaters on Friday, everyone wondered if their theories would be confirmed. One of the most popular since The Force Awakens inception and the anthology series were on the identity of Supreme Leader Snoke, on the Knights of Ren, about Kylo Ren’s rise to power and more.
Since Luke Skywalker will return to screens in theaters across the world could there be a possibility that the dark Sith Lord once known as Anakin Skywalker, who ruled the Galactic Empire with an iron fist as Darth Vader potentially be featured in The Last Jedi?
The answer is no.
Not only was Vader weakened during his duel against his son, Luke, on the Death Star II, he sacrificed himself to save him against Darth Sidious, who clearly damaged his own life support system.
So, even if Darth Vader had a slim chance of evading the destruction of the second Death Star, he would not be able to get to medical attention quick enough or on time, especially at the range of the explosion.
Another is plausibility; it is a stretch to believe he could be around for so long since the fall of the Galactic Empire. Where would he go?

Plus, I believe Lucasfilm and Disney are staying a bit further away from retreading similar plot-points and story beats in this expanded universe. In other words, you won’t see Vader in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
