1. World’s Most Wanted – Invincible Iron Man 8-19

I’ve spent most of this list talking about Tony Stark hitting rock bottom over and over again, but this one might take the cake. After the events of Extremis, the Five Nightmares, the Civil War, World War Hulk, and Secret Invasion Tony has lost everything. SHIELD has been dismantled and replaced with HAMMER run by the evil Norman Osborn. After all of this Tony has lost his friend Captain America, his company, and his entire reputation. Now, in order to protect everyone else, he has to destroy everything he has left.

Norman Osborn and HAMMER want his Iron Man technology and all the secrets in his hard drive-like brain so Tony has to go on the run from the biggest organization on the planet. He infects his computer-like brain with a virus that will slowly erase all the secrets he knows and his intelligence. At the same time, he is running all over the world trying to destroy the hidden caches of his Iron Man technology. It is literally a story about Iron Man destroying himself to protect the world from his mistakes.
