7. Justice League
It’s been a tough ride for Warner Bros. and DC when it comes to their feature films. Despite being huge money-making behemoths, movies like Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad are mutually panned by critics and fans. Sure some fans like them, but most fans’ sentiment lean towards the other side of that spectrum. After the success of Wonder Woman, both critically and financially, many thought that DC was finally on the right track. This meant that Justice League was destined to be a massive success. That wasn’t the case, though.
A poor box office performance and a rather mixed reception, Justice League fell behind all of DC’s previous films, even Suicide Squad. Despite having comic books’ greatest superhero team up on the big screen, the movie failed to impress. Mediocre at best, the convoluted mixup of Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon’s directorial style possibly hurt the movie. And while it offers terrific scenes, as when the Justice League fought against Superman, the film’s negatives outweighs its positives. From a lackluster villain to a number of silly scenes to many other issues, Justice League, unfortunately, was one of 2017’s biggest disappointments.
That said, the main cast had amazing performances. Ezra Miller’s Flash, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Ben Affleck’s Batman were among the best parts of the movie.
