2017 spoiled superhero fans by offering us six movies, but what were the best moments from these films?

It’s been quite the year for superhero fans with no fewer than six movies being released in 2017. The year was made even better by the fact that these movies featured some of the most popular superheroes from both Marvel and DC Comics. Whether it was Spider-Man’s long-awaited return to the MCU or the release of the first female-led superhero movie, we’ve certainly been spoiled for choice in 2017.

Each of these movies provided us with some great moments and continued to prove that there is certainly no superhero fatigue amongst fans. Two of this year’s films, Logan and Wonder Woman, have even been put forward for Oscar consideration which is fully deserved because they really pushed the boundaries of what a good superhero film can be.

There were some amazing moments in each of these films, so let’s have a look at the best.

6. Justice League – The Flash finds out Superman is just as fast as he is

Whatever you thought of Justice League, there’s no denying that Superman’s return was one of the best parts of the movie. After being almost entirely absent from the trailers, it was obvious that the Man of Steel’s return was set to be an iconic moment in the movie.

Of course, when he returned, he was disorientated and began to fight the fledgling Justice League. While holding off Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman and Cyborg, The Flash decides to run around and try and get the drop on the Kryptonian. As he runs in slow motion, we see Superman’s head slowly begin to turn and he offers a wry smile to Barry. Immediately, The Flash realizes that he might not be the fastest man alive — and the look on Superman’s face is priceless.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Yondu’s Funeral

One of the most gut-wrenching moments of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 was when Yondu sadly died during the final battle with Ego. Peter Quill delivers an emotional speech to the rest of the Guardians about the man who raised him and then, as they send Yondu’s body off into space, ships arrive from all over the galaxy.

After seemingly being shunned by the other Ravagers earlier in the film, each and every one of them turns up to pay their respects to Yondu in a truly magical fireworks display. A beautiful farewell to a true hero.
