Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther will hit theaters in 2018, with fans eagerly awaiting each movie’s respective arrival.
2018 will be the latest year for superhero films. It’s projected to be a loaded year, with movies like Black Panther, untitled Deadpool sequel, Avengers: Infinity War, X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Venom. If anything, 2018 could be the biggest 12 months for superhero flicks ever.
Each movie’s success will depend on how audiences react and pay. So, it’s worth a look at which film everyone wants to see in 2018, or the most anticipated.
Fandango (h/t WBIR.com) polled 8,000 moviegoers to find out their most-anticipated movie of 2018. The result was two Marvel Cinematic Universe films topping the list: Avengers: Infinity War at No. 1 and Black Panther at No. 2.
The top 10 featured these movies:
- Avengers: Infinity War (May 4)
- Black Panther (Feb. 16)
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (June 22)
- Untitled Deadpool sequel (June 1)
- Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25)
- Incredibles 2 (June 15)
- Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (Nov. 16)
- A Wrinkle in Time (March 9)
- X-Men: Dark Phoenix (Nov. 2)
- Ocean’s 8 (June 8)
It’s full of superhero movies, all of which are under the Disney banner. Fox’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix and the untitled Deadpool sequel will eventually belong to the Mouse House.
Infinity War at No. 1 doesn’t come as a surprise, given its culmination of 10 years of Marvel movies. It will bring together the characters of Captain America, Iron Man, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Hulk and however much more that may appear to face Thanos.
Black Panther will be the first to hit theaters, however, on Feb. 16. It precedes the events of Marvel’s May blockbuster, with Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa aka Black Panther as the new King of Wakanda.
