5. Namor
Namor is the most arrogant person in all of Marvel. At least Dr. Doom seems like he cares about the world. Namor only cares about what benefits himself and Atlantis. Despite their differences, T’Challa and Namor came to an agreement due to a mutual respect as royalty. They would help each other in hopes of making the world a better place. They would aid each other randomly from time to time and it seemed like they may even be friends. Then Namor did something unforgivable. Under the influence of the Phoenix Force (and his own hubris), Namor flooded Wakanda killing hundreds and leaving a vast amount of destruction.
T’Challa would later join the Illuminati with Dr. Strange, Hank McCoy, Black Bolt, Reed Richards, Tony Stark, and Namor. T’Challa worked with them, but he never forgot what Namor did to his nation. T’Challa let him know clear as day that he didn’t forgive him. He told Namor, “You have the blood of my people on your hands. So, when this is done—when my wants have replaced my needs—I’m going to kill you.” T’Challa later stabbed Namor in the chest, had Black Bolt unleash his voice on Namor, and that sent Namor falling off a high ledge. Luckily for Namor, this didn’t kill him.
Namor and T’Challa have worked together since, but their friendship will never be repaired.
