4. Steve Rogers

Before T’Challa was born, Steve Rogers had an impact on his life. T’Challa’s grandfather Azzuri (and then the Black Panther), gave Captain America the vibranium necessary to help make Cap’s shield. Decades later, when Steve Rogers gave up the mantle of Captain America and went as The Captain (Captain America issue 332), T’Challa made him a new shield to use. And even though Wakanda has a strict rule about getting in the affairs of other governments, T’Challa fought beside Captain America during the Marvel Civil  War.

T’Challa doesn’t look at Steve Rogers as a friend, he is his brother. There aren’t a lot of people that have T’Challa’s blind trust. Steve has this because of their mutual respect and need to help people. They don’t always agree, but the two always seem to find a way to work out their issues with each other. Even after the Avengers found out T’Challa originally joined the team to spy on them, Steve still went out of his way to help T’Challa with some problems in Wakanda (Black Panther issue 8 and 9 in 1999). T’Challa and Steve Rogers will always risk it all to help one another knowing that the other will always reciprocate.
