In many ways, if it weren’t for Charlie Cox’s adaptation of the Man Without Fear, then the Marvel Netflix shows would not be where they are today. Without him, there would not be the success that was both Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. In reality, this section belongs to the entire Marvel Netflix Universe. However, because of the initial success that Daredevil was, there is no way to replace him.
When it was announced that Cox would be headlining an entire show based on the blind ninja, the expectations were low. This of course is thanks to the flop that was 2003’s Daredevil starring Ben Affleck. The entire movie was cheesy and poorly done, so hopes weren’t high when the series went underway.
But thanks to Cox’s stellar acting, as well as the incredible writing, the result was one of the best stories to come out of the MCU. Based on the famous Man Without Fear comic book, the show has produced some of the most iconic moments in the MCU. From the stairwell fight to the final battle against the Hand, Daredevil has provided some memorable Marvel moments.
With as much success as his character has brought the MCU, it seems highly unlikely they will be replacing him anytime soon. With a third season currently under production and set to release later this year, Daredevil is set to bring more success to Netflix. But with how amazing Cox has played him, there is no logical reason to replace him anytime soon.
