2. X2

X2 is still to this day a benchmark for comic book sequels (and movie sequels in general) as the film took what was great in the first movie and made it bigger and better. With the origin story out of the way, this movie took a very interesting route. The movie is filled with awesome action sequences such as the scene where Nightcrawler invades the White House, which is one of my favorite scenes in any X-Men movie.

At the same time, this film dials in on some very interesting perspectives. We get to see how humans view mutants and how some want to accept them while others want to ban them and vice versa. Each and every character in this movie is a delight and it is great to see them interact with each other. This is a perfect movie to pop some popcorn to and watch on a Saturday night as it is entertaining, action-packed, has a great cast, and is very fun — which makes it one of my favorite Marvel movies ever.
