With six Spider-Man movies in the books, let’s rank them all, starting with the original film from 2002.

With the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming confirmed for a release date in July 6, 2019, and is placed as the starting point of Phase Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I believe it is about that time to rank six live-action iterations of the Spider-Man films from the last, up to first place. Those are the Sam Raimi trilogy, Marc Webb duology and the recent Homecoming reboot.

Just after the release of Homecoming, The Hollywood Reporter gave the scoop that writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers were in final negotiations to return to their post writing for the sequel. Earlier in December, it was also confirmed that the director Jon Watts is to return to run the parade on our friendly neighborhood Spidey. Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are set to reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spider–Man, Michelle and Ned Leeds respectively.

On December 10, there was an unknown actress who auditioned for a role allegedly rumored to be Gwen Stacy. With a French accent to boot over an audition tape.

With the exception of the live–action 1977 Spider-Man television series, in a rank from worst to best I will review each movie and give the pros and cons for each one with constructive, unbiased points. Please note that these are my own fair views and may not reflect the views of other readers.
