With WWE’s Royal Rumble approaching, which comic book characters would fit into the show?

The WWE Royal Rumble is one of the biggest pay-per-views of the year. Not only is it the WWE’s first big event of the year and starts the road to WrestleMania. The winner of the Royal Rumble is given the opportunity to challenge for the Championship title (World or Universal Title) at WrestleMania. A moment that could make or break a career. What is the comic book equivalent of a WWE Title? That would be the Infinity Stones and Gauntlet.

The Infinity Stones are the space, time, reality, power, mind, and soul gems. With them in the Infinity Gauntlet, the wearer could rule the universe. There isn’t a comic book character in the world that wouldn’t want to wield that much power. So, instead of the WWE Title, let’s use the Gauntlet as the prize of winning the Royal Rumble and DC and Marvel Comics characters as the participants.

Superman vs Darkseid VS Thanos (Replacing Kane vs Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar for the Universal title)

If anyone is going to fight for the Infinity Gauntlet, it would be Superman. Supes is the epitome of good and Thanos and Darkseid are two of the evilest people in comics. This is the match-up that makes the most sense.

Winner: Thanos

Thanos is king when it comes to patience. He’d wait for the two of them to tire each other out and then step in for the win. Thanos also isn’t above taking a beating if it means getting the win.
