Marvel’s Black Panther: 5 things we want to see in the movie

Is there anything Marvel’s Black Panther movie must deliver for the fans?
Marvel’s Black Panther is gearing up to be one of the most important movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s not just the predominantly black cast (which is amazing). Black Panther is gearing up to be unlike the Marvel Comics movies we’ve seen in the past. A movie about a character from a foreign nation (that’s not a god or alien) with a more serious tone than we are used to.
Black Panther is in a position that very few movies get a chance to be in. Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy is a notable example. Nolan took comic book movies and allowed them to be dark and somewhat realistic. You can see traces of this in Marvel’s Netflix series. For Black Panther to succeed there are some things that need to happen to not only make this a groundbreaking movie, but a memorable one as well.
5. Advanced culture
Some people only know Wakanda as a third world country. It’s even said in Black Panther’s trailer. But little do they know, Wakanda has been ahead of the world for centuries.
Wakanda spends more time making scientific breakthroughs than starting and fighting wars. For reasons like this, they created a cure for cancer and mapped out the human genome decades before anyone else. The schools in Wakanda are also more than just reading, writing, and arithmetic — they encourage philosophical conversations and differences of opinions as well as different career paths. They’re aware that not every person’s journey is the same.
Getting the Wakandan culture right is the most important part of the movie. Without that, there is no real difference between Wakanda and the rest of the world. T’Challa’s intelligence is right up there with Tony Stark and Shuri is smarter than her brother (T’Challa). There’s already been a trailer where T’Challa uses the kinetic energy his suit absorbs and blasts it into a car. We also get to see Shuri use Black Panther gauntlets that I’m sure are full of surprises. Who knows what else the movie has in store for us. But, I expect an array of cool weapons and gadgets.
