4. Gregory Stark

Gregory Stark is the smarter, more successful, way more professional brother of Tony Stark. He’s also a jerk. The first time we see him he says that there was a stain behind his seat and a mild stench of detergent from the bathroom in the private plane he flew in on. He then ordered his assistant to trash that plane and buy him a new one. We learn all this about him months before we discover he was a villain.

Gregory Stark was playing the Ultimates for months. Stark pit Carol Danvers and Nick Fury’s team against each other by making it look like the other was conspiring against the U.S. Government. Gregory Stark was selling superhuman secrets to help countries create fight back against their oppressors. He was providing them with Giant Men and a Spider-Man of their own. Gregory Stark even had his own Iron Man armor. Except his was just the white suit he wore and more advanced than his brother’s. It was so strong that he stopped Thor’s hammer with one hand.

Gregory Stark’s time ended when his brother (Tony) disabled his armor and Thor killed him with a lightning bolt. Gregory Stark was not a likable character. He was rude, narcissistic, and abrasive. In other words, he was the perfect villain. He was Dr. Doom without the need of armor and a mask. His run as a villain was too short. Also, considering what he was doing, you might be able to debate that he wasn’t a villain at all.
