3. Logan

The Oscar-nominated Logan is a film of high praise. It sports a hard R-Rating but managed to make quite a break at the box office. This is certainly a feat for a movie of hugely known pop culture character. It debuts at the number one spot and was the number one best-selling Blu-ray for two weeks. Logan manages to be in the top ten best selling Blu-rays of 2017.

Unfortunately it pales in comparison to its predecessors. X-Men Origins: Wolverine strangely outsells, even though it had less than stellar reviews and is a victim of immense piracy. The Wolverine also outsells. This can be for two possible reasons. The first film was before the advent of digital sales and is the first Wolverine solo film. Meanwhile, the second got a nice holiday release. Logan may have the potential to outsell The Wolverine on Blu-ray in time, for the gap is not that wide. Plus, it beats 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse with its overall response of “meh”.
