Jessica Jones season 2: 5 things we want to see
By Mark Lynch
With the return of Jessica Jones almost here, let’s look at the five things we want to see in season 2.
The highly anticipated return of Jessica Jones is upon us. It premieres on Netflix on March 8 (International Women’s Day), and the trailer looks outstanding. Fans of Jessica Jones from the comic book will recognize the car accident as part of her origin story. Her origin is one of the things that we were deprived of in season one. There were teases, but no explanation of the incident. The good thing is it gave us more to look forward to in season two. But what else do we need to see in Jessica Jones’ return?
5. Moments from the comic book
Jessica Jones’ solo series (Alias and the current self-titled series Jessica Jones) continues to be a great run. Without her series, we wouldn’t have the show. So why not give us more of what made the fans love her? There were moments in the comic book that were hilarious, sweet, and downright sad. Unlike some comic book characters, moments from Jessica Jones’ comic book don’t need a big budget to pull off.
One story, in particular, is when Jessica Jones worked a missing persons case. This case took her to a town so small everyone knew each other. The town thought the father killed the girl and the mother let the town believe it. Come to find out, she ran away. Jessica and the runaway had a moment where Jessica had to be more caring than she’s used to. It’s things like this that remind us that Jessica Jones does care about people. Underneath the rough exterior is a caring heart. We may see it in the show, but this is an example of a moment that we’d all love to see.
