July 30, 2021: Ant-Man and the Wasp 2

Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang will return as Ant-Man in July. This time, he will align with Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne, who will take on the Wasp role that was teased for her at the end of Ant-Man. It’s the first Marvel movie to have a female hero in the title, with Ant-Man and the Wasp.

No rumors or reports exist on a third movie to complete the trilogy, but if Ant-Man and the Wasp succeeds at the box office in July, it can set up one last adventure for Scott and Hope, whenever that may be.

However, there’s the two Avengers movies in between, which places the fate of every character on the line. Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man seem like locks to survive, but after them, it’s a bleaker look for the rest of the Avengers. Will that mean Ant-Man, and maybe even the Wasp, do not survive the events of both films?

Let’s assume Ant-Man and the Wasp survive Avengers 4. It keeps them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the potential for another go-around, three years after their team-up film. July 30, 2021 lines that up and concludes the story of Scott and Hope as Marvel’s miniature characters.
