Keep the women strong
Possibly the most talked about part of this movie were the women. Okoye, Shuri, and Nakia in particular. They were amazing and showed power, integrity, genius intellect, and inner strength. Everything about them was positive and uplifting. This is a trend that must continue.
The women of Wakanda are heart and soul of their nation and it showed. Black Panther’s most trusted bodyguard (Okoye) is a woman. In the council, there were elderly women who spoke their minds about what the nation needs without fear of criticism. We’ve also marveled at how great Shuri is with creating technology that helps Wakanda run. The women of Wakanda must remain this way. Also, it would be a great idea to see more of the Dora Milaje and especially Queen Mother Ramonda.
Ramonda is one of the wisest people in Wakanda and should get more screen time in the future. With T’Challa trying something new by having Wakanda step out of the shadows, it might be a good idea to have Ramonda help her son. There is going to be a lot of Wakandan’s who won’t be happy with T’Challa and he’ll need her, Shuri, and Okoye to help him from being crushed from the weight of the crown.
